The loss of land and its identity

"

Satyaranjan’s works unfold from the tension between village memory and accelerating urban expansion, where nature, culture, and politics are constantly in negotiation. By placing organic materials in dialogue with urban traces, he explores how care, exploitation, and shifting ecologies shape our lived environments. Working with watercolour and mixed media such as palm leaf, rice paper, and banana paper, he layers fragments of place to reflect on ecological loss and shifting identities, urging viewers to rethink their relationship with a rapidly changing world.
