**The Theatre of Ravan** is a metal sculptural project inspired by the traditional shadow-puppetry form _Ravana Chhaya_ of Odisha. Created using the ancient Dhokra metal-casting technique, the work serves as a tribute to this disappearing art by transforming its fragile shadow imagery into enduring sculptural forms. Blending two indigenous practices—shadow theatre and metal craft—the project reinterprets folk narratives through a new material language. It seeks to preserve cultural memory, honour the storytellers and craftspeople, and translate the ephemeral play of light into a lasting artistic expression.
