As a child visiting my grandmother, I’d press my face to the iron grill of her window, looking out at a world that seemed tired -rows of worn buildings, dust hanging in the heat, and a quiet kind of decay. But in my mind, I imagined a thriving, vibrant garden outside. A place full of movement, color, and life- alive with strange plants, shifting colors, and things that pulsed and breathed beyond the grey
