I explore the deep connections between the lives of people in my surroundings and the inland waterbodies that shape our daily experiences. These relationships are rarely documented and remain largely absent from official historical narratives. By bringing together colonial painting archives with my personal memories and inherited stories, I reconstruct a visual narrative that bridges past and present. This fusion allows me to highlight the overlooked histories of water-based life and to reimagine them within a contemporary context, giving form to experiences that have long remained unrecorded.
