Fear of Existence This intimate series unfolds like pages from a private diary—each drawing a fragile record of a collapsing inner world. Created during a period of deep emotional turmoil, these works capture the shifting weight of fear, numbness, and the quiet search for meaning that accompanies moments when life feels unbearably heavy. The lined paper, marked with dates, becomes a quiet witness to day-by-day survival. Figures appear fragmented, bent, burdened, or momentarily still—each body carrying a cactus, a pot, or a shadow as a metaphor for the sharpness of lived experience. The cactus becomes both wound and resilience: a form that endures harshness yet grows in silence. Across these twelve drawings, the emotional landscape fluctuates between despair and faint glimmers of hope. Some images show bodies sinking, collapsing under invisible pressure; others carry small plants or fragile gestures of care. In this oscillation lies the central rhythm of the work—the strange truth that even when everything feels like an ending, the next morning can offer a different kind of light. Fear of Existence is not merely a record of suffering; it is an honest testament to survival. Through delicate marks, muted washes, and symbolic forms, the series transforms private vulnerability into a quiet, enduring strength—an affirmation that even the most fragile days hold the possibility of renewal.
