The Watchman is a drawing-based work that reimagines the folktale of the ghost of Jamidarpratha from my locality in Odisha. The piece explores a surreal and mythical narrative, blending memory, folklore, and imagination. Through this work, I visualize the eerie, otherworldly presence of the story, creating a space where local legend transforms into a dreamlike, contemporary artistic expression.
