“The presence in absence”
I am a multidisciplinary artist working across installation, painting, photography, performance, and site-specific interventions. Growing up in a post-refugee settlement in West Bengal, my practice is shaped by questions of memory, loss, and disappearance. Using fragile and found materials such as ice, dust, plant matter, and everyday objects, I explore themes of memory and loss. My work reflects on how people, places, and histories continue to exist even as they fade away.
I completed my BFA and MFA from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. In 2025, I received the Inlaks Fine Art Award.
