Akbar Ali Sunasara

My art is deeply connected to the social and personal world I live in, drawing inspiration from poetry, news, and my daily experiences. I primarily paint, often focusing on the familiar - my family, home, and village. Through this I document my time and how our lives connect with bigger societal changes. I also really enjoy printmaking; it’s a discipline I picked up in college and continued through my post graduation. The precision it requires shapes how I approach making an image by blending technical skill and careful observation of everyday life.
