Anish Nandy

My practice explores social situations, seeking non-traditional connections between social or ecological issues. Vivid dreams often influence my imagination and creative work. I experiment with ink and watercolors, but find solace in acrylic painting. I use sarcasm and metaphor to contrast thought and reality. I aim for my art to spark conversation and reflection on the themes I explore.

I have had a solo exhibition, Ukiyo, A Floating World (2020), curated by Vu Ngo, Canada and have participated in Art Mumbai (2025), India Art Fair, Young Collectors Program (2024), and the Kochi Muziris Biennale - Students Biennale (2016 & 2020).
