No more shall I weave a garment of pain

As a textile artist, my practice holds stories of memory, labor, and community. Trained in weaving and design, my work incorporates the Banarasi traditions, like hand-worked carpet weaving of Mirzapur and Bhadohi. My connection to this craft comes from my childhood, as I watched the weavers working in my mother's boutique. I use simple, often recovered materials like jute sacks, used sari thread, and recycled factory waste. These materials focus on themes of repair and survival. My textiles speak softly of care, endurance, and the quiet intelligence of hands.
