Boris Colin Alphonse

I grew up on the Kerala coast and later trained as an engineer, so my practice sits where coastal knowledge meets scientific thinking. I'm fascinated by how systems like diagrams, measurements, and archives shape what we understand as 'reality' and memory. Instead of just painting the sea, I use my work - installations, drawings, and speculative tools - to gently question and reconfigure those dominant systems of knowledge. For me, art is a space to acknowledge unstable geographies and the communities shaped by them, letting other, quieter ways of knowing come to the surface.

My work has been shown at places like Tate Britain and Chelsea Space, and I was part of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (2025-26).
