“Intertwining emotion and spirit”
My practice is a conversation between the complexities of human life and the abstraction of nature. I carry the lineage of my ancestral craft of making matkas (Earthern pots) into a contemporary context. Art transforms and rejuvenates identity and vice versa. Through my drawings, sketches, and paintings, I delve into ‘slices of life’ and the intricate psychological loops of human struggle. In my sculptural work, I focus on evoking a transformative sensory experience through fluid, nature-inspired forms. Across both disciplines, mirrors and sound play a role in dissolving the boundary between the audience and the art. I continue to explore and integrate new materials based on the unique sensations they provide, seeking to bridge the gap between the tactile object and the viewer's internal response.
