“Stories animated with soil”
My multimedia practice - spanning painting, soil, and moving image - explores the deep connection between humans and the natural world. Painting becomes a quiet, reflective space where I think through ideas about existence from an ecological perspective. I often use soil as both a material and a metaphor to connect microscopic life, bodily rhythms, and geological time. Working with soil allows the material to move and behave naturally, reflecting processes like erosion and transformation. When I animate these soil-based works, the surfaces shift and evolve, suggesting how life can emerge from what appears lifeless.
My work has been exhibited at the Kochi Students’ Biennale and the 102nd All India Art Exhibition by the Art Society of India.
