Self-implicated

I work with what's been forgotten and what's been erased. Based in Howrah, West Bengal, I examine how violence extends beyond what we can see - affecting memory, knowledge, and daily life, particularly for marginalized communities shaped by Islamophobia and caste discrimination. Using drawing, archival material, textile, and photographs, I trace how specific incidents reflect larger systems of erasure and identity loss. My practice doesn't try to fix or resolve anything; instead, I work with layering, fragmentation, and material intervention to hold what cannot be fully recovered.

Through absence and rupture, I ask what remains when memory is interrupted, creating spaces where incompleteness becomes central. This is my way of honoring what's been silenced and questioning how we remember in the face of systematic erasure.
