Kapil Jangid

I grew up in Bajwa, an industrial town near Vadodara where my father had moved from Rajasthan for work. This environment deeply influences my artistic practice. My work explores the intersections of urbanisation, rural life, and socio-political dynamics, drawing from my family's history as migrant artisans. I'm interested in the subjects of architecture and geometry, integrating these elements into my practice to navigate and interpret the relationship between people and their environments. Through mediums like sculpture, architectural models, image transfer, collages, drawings, installations, and found materials, I examine the complex dynamics of labor, migration, and identity.
