“The debris of human evolution”
Growing up near Kaziranga National Park really shaped my work, making me focus on environmental change and justice. My practice captures the landscape from where I gather natural and man-made fragments from different places, and reconfigure them into new forms. Working with sculptures, reliefs, and installations, I blend materials through assemblage and weaving. This process arises from science and indigenous knowledge, exploring how urbanization and expansion disrupt ecosystems and cause conflict. I want my work to start conversations about sustainability, habitat loss, and our shared responsibility to the environment.
I completed my BFA in Sculpture from Guwahati (2021) and my MFA from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai (2023).
