“The body as substance and spectacle”
I work between Kolkata and Silchar where I traverse the human body, seeing it not as a fixed shape but as a collection of traces - fragments that show the effects of our life experiences and histories. I often use watercolour, choosing the medium for its delicate quality to bring a quiet intensity to my work. I try to reveal the fragility and instability of our existence through my images.
My work has been exhibited in group shows, including “Women: Yesterday, Today and tomorrow” (2018), "An Overwhelming Imagination" curated by Sonia Sahni, Seoul, Korea (2016).
