Rajaram Naik

Rajaram is a multidisciplinary artist who explores how traditional folk theatre, like Jatra, adapts to modern pop culture. His work looks at why younger generations are losing interest and how traditional stories survive through new, hybrid forms. Using paintings, sculptures, installations, and video, Rajaram focuses on the figure of the monster as a metaphor. He questions whether monsters act as protectors or destroyers, and how people label the unknown. Ultimately, his art examines the tension between sacred traditions, kitsch, and everyday life in a changing world.
