“The rust of time and memory”
I collect the things the city throws away. Growing up in Vadodara's old quarters, the weathered homes, bridged structures, and cinema halls painted with faded advertisements - I became fascinated by how memory lives in these neglected spaces. My work stitches together disparate imagery and found objects: rusty metal sheets, old branded boxes, materials eaten away by time and rust. These abandoned things carry the city's memory in their decay, telling stories of what Vadodara was. Through these remnants, I explore how the past never truly dies; it lives in the forgotten corners of the city and in the objects we discard. My practice is an attempt to negotiate between these traces of collective memory and the derelict spaces that hold them.
