Sangita Datta

Born in Burdwan and shaped by Kolkata and Noida, my practice draws from personal and inherited narratives of womanhood. Rooted in the oral histories of women, I explore tensions between lived realities and ideas of progress across class and geography. Working with layered prints, assemblage, and mixed media, I engage themes of care, labour, silence, and resilience. My recent work reflects on migration and homemaking, questioning what constitutes a home and what is quietly lost within it.
