“Seeding the past”
Through painting, installation, film, and participatory projects, I explore memory, ecology, and the cultural landscapes of Northeast India. Coming from my agrarian upbringing, my research-led practice engages with traditional crafts and rural communities, examining the relationships between land, labour, indigenous food cultures, and collective memory. I investigate ecological change and cultural continuity through my work.
I have received the Inlaks Fine Art Award (2024), the Art for Hope Grant by Hyundai India Foundation (2024), and the Lalit Kala Akademi Research Scholarship (2021–22).
