Portraits of plants

Primarily working as a painter, my practice arises from looking closely at nature - the quiet trees, the play of light, and how time gently unfolds in familiar landscapes. I work with watercolour, drawing from the language of miniature painting. My process involves layering, erasure, and subtle interruptions marking moments of hesitation or rupture. This is to represent how we experience time and perception. I’m drawn to the idea of the “glitch” as a gentle disruption, where the seen and the felt overlap. Through these delicate shifts, I try to create spaces where looking slows down and memory unfolds in fragments.

I have received the Shristi Art Grant (2020), and my works have been exhibited at Exhibit 320, including at the India Art Fair (2022-23).
