“Listening to melting mountains”
I grew up watching the glaciers shrink. My work explores the interconnected relationships between glaciers, water, landscape, and Himalayan communities through sculpture, installation, and land art using locally sourced materials. I investigate the environmental and cultural transformations brought about by climate change and water scarcity, drawing from my experiences in Rangdum village and engaging with memory and traditional knowledge. My site-responsive works reflect both the physical and emotional impact of a changing landscape. Through this I want to engage in dialogue between people, place, and the environment.
