In my work, I question existing power structures and the way knowledge is created, often reflecting on the history of Brahmanical society. As an artist, my work centers on opening up new ways of seeing the world. Using familiar painting tools such as landscapes, portraits, still lifes I encourage myself and viewers to take a deep look inward. This practice is about mirroring the complexities of our shared and personal identities. My visuals try to tackle bigger questions, like how marginalized groups were formed, and whether the contemporary art world is truly ready to engage with these conversations. The history is right there in the images; we just need to really look.
