“The labour of sanitation”
I explore the marginalized narratives of sweepers, sanitation workers, and drainage workers whose labor sustains urban life yet often remains invisible. Through large-scale paintings, bold forms, and expressive palettes, I examine themes of caste, class, labour, and environmental justice, highlighting the dignity and resilience of sanitation workers while confronting systemic inequalities and social invisibility.
My ongoing project, Witness, investigates visible and invisible forms of violence, reflecting on structural oppression, vulnerability, and collective responsibility through a deeply personal and political lens.
