“Spectrum of corporeal vulnerabilities”
My work centers on the female body as a solid, powerful presence, exploring themes of endurance, emotional experience, and the challenging of gender and sexual expectations. Drawing from personal memories, I employ fragmented figures and a mixed-media layering process to confront internal conflicts and reimagine the feminine, seeking the mystic in the deeply human tenderness of the ordinary. Through this, I examine the body as a site of memory, emotion, and psychological tension, often questioning the expectations placed upon it, particularly in domestic settings, which grants the figures a sense of authority and quiet survival.
I have received the Kalasakshi Award and Scholarship (2023) and the Youth Festival National Award in Painting (2023). My work has been exhibited across Delhi, Santiniketan, and Vadodara, and I have participated in the Indigo Art Museum residency.
