Through this work, I reimagine borders and boundaries beyond perceived territorial lines, exploring how water, islands, and wetlands shape an alternative understanding of mapping. Instead of rigid divisions, I seek to visualize Kerala’s social landscapes through its inland waterways, recalling past journeys shaped by rivers, canals, and boats. By reflecting on these water-based routes, I engage with a different experience of movement—one deeply connected to the ecosystem surrounding water bodies. This work becomes a way to remember these shifting spaces, offering a visual narrative distinct from the structured paths of road travel.
