Zone of Kalinga: Kalinga controls the zone of saturation, which is the upper level of the underground water surface, commonly known as the water table. He takes the form of Matsyendranatha ( enlighten Siddha) and enters the water to establish his territory. In doing so, he contaminates the water and spreads from the mountains down to local ponds. The idea highlights how contamination in one part of the water system can spread and impact the environment over a large area.
