Goa

The painting was created following the artist's time in Goa. The central structure is inspired by a building he encountered there, while the sea, encircling the land, evokes the atmosphere of that period, one marked by evenings of drinking and quiet reflection. The waves, rendered through expressive brushstrokes unlike those in his earlier works, mark a new direction in his practice. As with much of his work, the artist is drawn to nature, not as a collection of individual elements but as an interconnected whole. Rather than working from a fixed narrative, he paints instinctively, allowing feeling to shape the image.
