In the first artwork, the artist turns their attention to the trunk as the starting point of a tree. The work highlights the foundation from which growth begins, inviting viewers to appreciate a part of the tree that often goes unnoticed. Similarly the second artwork reflects on the starting point of a standing human figure. By focusing on the foot, the artist draws attention to the body's foundation, the point from which balance, movement, and our connection to the ground begin.
