I rethink borders not as fixed territorial lines but as fluid spaces shaped by water, islands, and wetlands. I look at Kerala’s landscape through its inland waterways, evoking older modes of travel shaped by rivers, canals, and boats. These water routes offer a different understanding of movement—one closely connected to the ecology of the region. By revisiting these fluid pathways, the work becomes an act of remembering and reimagining alternative geographies, presenting a visual story that contrasts with the rigid structure of road-based mapping.
