Resilience- This small, intimate study of a potted plant carries within it the spirit of an old story—the tale of Scottish king Robert Bruce and the spider that refused to give up. Just as the spider kept weaving its web despite each fall, these steadfast green leaves rise from the soil with the same quiet determination. In the everyday world of common people, resilience is not a grand declaration but a slow, steady act of survival. We endure the pressures shaped by political decisions, the weight of governance, and the unforeseen difficulties that disrupt ordinary lives. Yet, like the plant pushing upward toward light, we continue to grow through uncertainty. The faint sketch of a spider behind the leaves becomes a subtle reminder of this lesson: perseverance is not heroic—it is human. Through this simple pot and its persistent stems, Resilience becomes a meditation on endurance, hope, and the quiet strength with which people stand upright again and again, no matter what forces bend them.
