The Last Monarch 1
2025
Mixed Media (Construction Waste on Paper)
14.6 × 21.5 in
Paper work, Plastic wrapped
Art ID: 403
The Last Monarch uses construction debris to map the moment our environment turns from living soil into a sterile city. It treats urbanisation as a "slow violence," where the organic is crushed into the synthetic. Through these materials, we see a landscape that has stopped thriving and has instead been interred, buried alive under the weight of development.
