Here, Kalinga (Kaliya) is figured as a process of change, evolving from seed to bud. The froth that forms on the water and sky creates a sense of liminal space.
Within this liminal space, the city begins to look unreal, fantasy-like. However in contrast, the city becomes firmly grounded in material reality and lived experiences.
