Fruit of Kalinga

After blooming, Kalinga- the Black Serpent, produces fruit filled with seeds. Carried by air and water, the seeds spread far and wide. As they multiply, Kalinga grows rapidly into a powerful and destructive force. Mythology: Takshak, the Naga king, killed King Parikshit (Arjuna's grandson) by transforming into a small worm (or insect) inside a fruit. This allowed him to bypass a heavily guarded tower where Parikshit was staying to escape a seven-day death curse. Upon eating the fruit, the worm transformed back into the venomous snake, biting and killing Parikshit.
