A closer look:

A white horse hovers above the quarry while Kaliya plays a double game. Borrowing from an episode in the Adi Parva of the Mahabharata, where illusion alters reality, the work reflects on the deceptive narratives surrounding development and progress. Here, Kaliya becomes a metaphor for the many-faced nature of extraction, concealing ecological damage behind carefully constructed illusions. The quarry is not only a site of excavation but also a place where truth itself is manipulated, making destruction appear as progress.
