Life in urban-VIII

When I first came to Delhi, I was deeply impressed by the fast-paced city life. But it was only when I moved here with my family that I truly began to understand the struggles that farmer families face in an urban environment. This experience had a profound impact on me and continues to inspire my work. I began to see these challenges not just around me, but within my own life, and they started to naturally reflect in everything I created. As an artist, I became more aware of how migrant people live and survive in big cities. I observed how they collect materials, work tirelessly, and face countless daily hardships just to make a living. Through both my personal journey and these observations, I came to understand the reality of their lives, and in many ways, it mirrors my own. This connection has deeply affected me. It’s something that began to emerge in my work without me even trying. Their stories and mine, have become one and the same. I feel compelled to express this shared experience through my art. It is the story of the common man’s daily life, and in many ways, it is my story too.
