A closer look:

The Burial of the Common is a reflection on migrant workers whose labour builds the city but whose lives often remain unseen. As concrete structures rise, the worker gradually disappears from public memory. Here, concrete becomes both material and metaphor, a silent record of the lives embedded within the city. Inspired by the photographs of Sebastião Salgado and A Burial at Ornans, the work imagines a memorial for those whose labour shapes the city yet often goes unrecognized.
